Ideal Home

Our poor Venus has been through the wars so it may seem.

Venus was rehomed from us back in 2016 where we thought she was living quite happily until we were made aware that she had been picked up as a stray, miles away from 'home' in a shocking and dreadful condition. She was crawling with fleas, her skin is red raw with cuts and abrasions covering her body & face and despite leaving us with a full tail it is now partially 'docked' which really doesn't look a pretty sight at all, having potentially been self inflicted. 🙁

She is now thankfully back in our care after being well looked after by another rescue whilst she served her days as a stray, have now re-assessed and got her some much needed veterinary care not to mention as much TLC as we can give her!

We now think Venus is ready to find herself a new home and we are keeping our fingers, toes and tails crossed that we can find the most paw-fect home never to be a stray, in a kennel or suffer any level of neglect ever again!

When she first came back to us she was in such a dreadful condition, she wasn't the Venus we once knew, she was withdrawn and down in the dumps. She is now back to the happy dog we rehomed those years ago!

Venus isn't your typical 9 year old girl, she has as much energy as any younger dog as such she would love an active home where she can go on lots of long walks and make amazing memories with her new humans!

We are looking for a dog free home for her, she has made lots of progress since coming back to us and is now walking around the fields with other dogs, not reactive and can tolerate the calmer dogs nearby but we don't think she will ever be one to be a 'totally dog friendly dog'... but we really can't blame her, she has been through so much and nobody is perfect!

Venus loves to play with toys and zoom round the playpen so she would very much like a home with a garden so she can play to her hearts content!

When all the playing is done, sniffs have been sniffed and the toys have been played with she loves nothing more then having a cuddle and fuss. Venus really is fabulous with people, she will happily say hello to anyone!

Her skin is looking a whole lot better now, most medications have stopped, her coat is also growing back too which is fab and it's super soft!

We are praying we can find her a home for Christmas but she deserves to be cherished and spoilt for the rest of her life let alone one day!
