Welcome to the gorgeous Russia, Russia came into us as we had a call asking for help - they had a dog who had been left with them by an ex partner who said she was pregnant. He didn't know who the father was! The lady had 5 children and was panicking how she would cope so we offered to help out.
We had a member of staff willing to foster Russia and look after her and her pups until they could be rehomed and Russia to go back home.
It didn't start well as the day she was dropped off to us we had to immediately rush her to the vets and she had to have an emergency C section . Unfortunately 6 puppies had already passed away but 2 survived.
Russia has done incredibly well in everything from settling in to her foster home, throughout her ordeal of giving birth to being a wonderful mum but now it's her turn to get some peace, quiet, TLC and a home of her very own.
This is what her fosterers have to say about her -

Russia is a sweet, lovely girl that loves to give and receive cuddles and sleeping next to you on the sofa. She’s been a great mother to her two pups and has shown patience and gentleness with them. She does Pull on the lead but this is something we are working on with her (A little check, seems to work) We have also been working with waiting at the curb side before crossing the road. She’s picked up sitting for her food/treats and is very gentle when she takes them. She will sit and wait by the front door to have her lead put on and knows 'leave' and 'no'. We have been able to check her eyes, teeth and ears and clean her paws after a walk. She’s clean in the house after recovering from her big surgery and has a good appetite. She is fine to pick up and have all over fuss and belly rubs. She travels well in the car and settles quickly. She loves her chew toys but would need “tough toys” She would need a pet free home as she is not over keen on cats or dogs. She has seen dogs out and about but not too close. So a distance should be kept. She is fine with “strangers” but slow and steady as sometimes can be nervous but does love the affection. She can jump up. Which also we are working on. So no younger kids would be advised.
