Little miss Roxy has come into us from another charity with no history, so we have taken the time to assess her here and we now know what type of home she would love!
Prior to coming to us it's clear Roxy has not experienced much of the world, everything seems to be very new to her, even braving the doorway into the office was very scary, so she is nervous. Roxy will need someone patient and experienced to encourage her forwards with new things and people but equally one to understand she will take time 🙂
Leads, harnesses and collars were completely alien to her when she first arrived but she is now wearing her own little collar, though still unsure she is allowing us to put her harness on and is going out on walks though they aren't a joyous occasion for her at the moment but hopefully the more her confidence grows and the more friends she makes the more likely she will learn to love walks (at the moment they are a bit scary!)
Roxy came in with her little friend Maggie and whilst they get on well with them being as nervous as each other they aren't best suited to remain with one another so we feel that Roxy may be best with an older more confident dog that isn't too much or overwhelming, to learn the ropes from.
Once Roxy has got used to the home environment and knows her humans are there to stay, she will benefit from some training classes as her basic commands are none existent.
Despite all the scary things kennels has presented Roxy she has shown that she hasn't got a bad bone in her, even at her most fearful she just hid behind her bed, she will make someone a beautiful dog when she's built a bond with them and found her confidence!
