Ideal Home

Little miss Maggie has come into us from another rescue sadly alike many others, with no history but we have now assessed her and are ready to get her started on her new life.

Prior to coming to us it's clear tha alike Roxy, Maggie also has not experienced much of the world, everything seems to be very new to her, even braving the doorway into the office was very scary, so she is nervous. Maggie will need someone patient and experienced to encourage her forwards with new things and people but equally one to understand she will take time 🙂 We do think there is a cheeky little personality in there that will soon come out to be a little hooligan full of fun, zoomies and mischief.

Leads, harnesses and collars were completely alien to her when she first arrived but she is now wearing her own little collar, though still unsure she is allowing us to put her harness on and is going out on walks though they aren't a joyous occasion for her at the moment but hopefully the more her confidence grows and the more friends she makes the more likely she will learn to love walks (at the moment they are a bit scary!)

Maggie came in with her little friend Roxy and whilst they get on well with them being as nervous as each other they aren't best suited to remain with one another as they do make each other worse. Maggie may well be better with another dog, a more confident but not too over the top dog, perhaps one more of her size as she is more scared of the bigger dogs we have on site.

Once Maggie has got used to the home environment and has built up trust with her family, she will benefit from some training classes as her basic commands are none existent.

Despite all the scary things kennels has presented Maggie she has shown that she hasn't got a bad bone in her, even at her most fearful she just hid behind her bed, she will make someone a beautiful dog when she's built a bond with them and found her confidence!
