Meet our bouncy boy Jake, who is affectionately known as Tigger! Jake has come into us as a stray so we have no history on him unfortunately but we have found out a lot about him through his assessment.
We feel Jake will need a more experienced home as it's clear that he has had little to no input in his life so far as his leadwork is pretty appalling and his basic commands are none existent! We have started work on his walking and introduced him to a Gencon which he is much better on but still room for improvement.
In the playpen he loves to play and run round like a hooligan, he will chase and play with toys but he is certainly not a retriever so don't expect him to bring them back to you!
Alike his leadwork and obedience, his socialisation with other dogs has evidently been equally as limited, though he isn't aggressive what is obvious is that he has no idea what to do or how to act around other dogs, he has met dogs through the kennels fine but out on a walk he either stares, wags his tail (and his whole body) or barks. He will definitely be one to attend some socialisation classes to help him learn what he needs to become a social dog. For this reason we are looking for a dog free home.
Jake is a very active boy and will need a very active home to give him the walks and exercise he really needs, a big garden is also on his wish list too! Once all the sniffs have been sniffed and all the balls have been chased he loves nothing more then a good fuss and lots of cuddles!
His nickname is Tigger as boy, does he like to bounce! Unfortunately he's not quite realised that humans don't want to be pounced, he's just too enthusiastic about saying hello but for this reason we would suggest older/no children as he will knock them over accidentally.
We know Jake is going to be a bit of a work in progress but he will make an amazing dog for someone willing and able to put in the time and training that he needs!
