FREYA came into us a stray so no prior history is known. She is a very happy go lucky girl, loves fusses and going on whatever adventure life has to throw at her. She can pull a fair bit and although this is worked on we still have a way to go so training classes are a must for this little lady. Great with people but can be a little quirky with some dogs if they get in her face or start barking at her - then she has something to say about it. Well behaved calm dogs she has no issue with at all so needs to be the only dog in the home.
She was lucky enough to go off site with one of our amazing volunteers
. Here's what they had to say about her:
"Freya was a really confident little dog- no issues with traffic at all and very responsive on the lead . Her recall was great and she was happy to sit on command. I would say she was neutral to people we met in the high street, but very friendly to us as we had built some sort of bond after our 5 mile walk. Freya tended to approach dogs in an over enthusiastic manner, which may cause a problem if not kept an eye on, but when met a very calm dog was fine ( see picture) It looks like she has a prey drive - very alert and keen when noises in bushes etc . She also looked as if she wouldn’t shy away from a confrontational dog.
She was perfect in the house - very comfortable and confident. Our assessment is that she probably needs an owner with experience of the breed type - someone to give her loads of exercise and guidance .… we thought she was a great dog who would happily respond to learning new rules .
Had a lovely walk with Freya- a fantastic dog"
