  Ideal Home

Apollo came in to us via the dog warden as a stray, we were hopeful we could quickly reunite him with his owner as he was chipped however it wasn't meant to me. Sadly the owner had got a family member to hand the dog to the dog warden claiming he was a lost dog as they couldn't cope with him and didn't want him back.

Thankfully here we welcome dogs in to our family after they served their days as a stray so he has joined the pack and made the kennels his temporary home.

Apollo would really like to find a home where he can have an active lifestyle, he is a young dog with lots of energy to burn and lots of potential to give. He is really bright and picks things up really quickly, he would excel in agility as he has the connection with his handler as well as the speed and athleticism! Agility would also give his active mind something to work out as he will require a good balance of physical exercise and mental stimulation.

Apollo is an incredibly friendly boy, he loves saying hello to everyone he sees, sometimes this is at the detriment of his lead work trying to tow you over to say hi too! He is exuberant and does jump up, it is very difficult to curb this in kennels due to his excitement but with some dog training and time he will learn and make someone an amazing pet!

We do think he is good with other dogs but just very full on with them so would probably be best suited as an only dog for now whilst he settles down and gets his training all sorted.

Apollo can already sit, give paw and lie down, his lead work can be a bit ropey but with a confident handler and some treats he can walk beautifully by your side looking at you adoringly. If allowed he will pull, try and run, jump around so an experience handler is a must.

Apollo really has SO much potential to be such a wonderful dog.. he just needs someone to help bring it out!
