Handsome boy MERLE has come in to us from a private home through no fault of his own. Full details will be given to those interested in rehoming him. He has now been assessed and we feel it's time he started his next chapter.

We did manage to find him a home however once in the home environment it became clear that he didn't wish to share his home with another dog so the decision was made to return him so we are now looking for a dog free home.

Merle is a super friendly boy. A real cuddly, fuss pot who loves human company and attention. Initially on first meeting strangers he can be a little nervous until he knows you, once he does he's your best friend.

He can be a little strong and excitable on the lead at times but is better walking on his Halti head collar which he has always been used to. He has a good level of obedience with the basics but there's always room for improvement and would encourage his new home to continue with training classes. This always helps to build a lovely bond too.

Merle loves nothing better than zoomies off lead in the playpen and chasing toys although doesn't always bring them back bless him!! He will want lots of lovely walks out and about in open spaces seeing what the big wide world has to offer. We have been told he can be nervous around traffic so may need a little work building his confidence with that.

His previous owners have mentioned he can bark at other dogs but that he also had a Staffy friend who he was great with. We haven't found any issues with his behaviour towards other dogs here! He hasn't put a paw out of place. He's met lots of dogs here and behaved politely and well mannered at all times. We've found Merle is much more interested in his handler.

Merles 5 star home would be one with a large garden for all his zoomies and a family who can take him on lots of outdoor adventures.
